Term Allied Health Professionals (AHP) 
Definition AHPs carry their own caseloads and work as autonomous professionals, for example they may work directly with a patient to develop some interactive therapies to aid recovery. AHPs will also be part of a team and may even lead one, this might mean working with other AHPs or other professionals such GPs, hospital doctors, teachers, or social workers

Term Amygdala 
Definition A structure located under the cortex of the brain (the thick layer covering the cerebrum) in the temporal lobe. It is part of the limbic system that is known to play a part in processing emotions and other social information. There is growing literature examining both structural and functional abnormalities of the amygdala in autism and other pervasive developmental disorders (PDD).
