We are currently looking at what information should be included on the Scottish Autism Network Website and need your help!
We are keen to have useful, clear and unbiased information on a variety of different topics and are looking for suggestions from people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), their family members and those working in the field of ASD about good information, materials, and links. We are eager that the information on the Autism Network website is guided by those working in the field and those who know about ASD first hand; people with ASD, their family members and carers.
We are looking for the following:
- Web links to good websites about ASD or related matters
- Links to good written material, factsheets and information on websites about specific topics (see below) or ASD in general
- Good downloadable articles, factsheets etc
- Useful legislation ( web links or downloadable documents)
- Web links to information on good, valid research
- Downloadable documents re good, valid research
- Information on places to visit across Scotland that are ‘autism friendly’ or a good environment to take children/people with autism for a day out
- Any other relevant information
- Good books and publicly available resources
To look at some of the topic areas which we are keen to gain information about click here.
We cannot automatically guarantee that all suggested articles, sites and information will be included as we are looking at a system of verifying what information will be contained on the site to ensure that everything (as far as possible) is clear, unbiased, and correct. We will endeavour to include any articles that meet these criteria.
We would be very grateful if you could pass on your expertise by letting us know about any of the above which you have personally found, or that others have mentioned, as being useful. This will help us to build up the content and information on the Autism Network website so that it is relevant and helpful to those with ASD, their family members and professionals working in the field of ASD across Scotland.
