A useful and informative information booklet for parents and carers with a child or young
person recently diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder has been created by NHS Education for Scotland and funded by the Scottish Government.
The booklet contains information about the diagnosis, ASD, what family members can do to help, approaches and interventions, financial help and information and resources.

Directory of teams undertaking assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder in Scotland
A directory of contacts for assessment and diagnosis teams accross Scotland for children and adults has been created by NHS Education for Scotland and funded by the Scottish Government.
This is a very useful resource for all professionals who may be involved in directing families of children with autism to appropriate services for a diagnosis.

Models of Local Authority, Council and NHS Support for Adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions within the UK
Many local area strategy and inter-agency groups that the Scottish Autism Service Network are liaising with across Scotland are considering how the needs of adults on the autism spectrum can be met more sufficiently. This document was compiled by Dawn Larman from SASN and provides details of models of support and initiatives for adults upon the autism spectrum across the UK to enable those who are considering developments to use these to inform their strategies and work.
