Autism Information Sharing Network

During 2006 and early 2007, SASN developed a working group for those involved in ASD specific information who source and provide information regarding ASD either to people with ASD and their families, other professionals or electronically. Those involved wished to network with other people in similar positions to share this information.

The group look at the following

• Effective ways to share and pass on the information between network members
• Ways in which to save each other time and effort in sourcing information
• Joining together to find, source and create new information
• Pooling resources to help decrease individual workload and effort
• Makeing useful, accurate and up-to-date information more widely available to service users and other professionals

The members of the group consulted guidance for assessing ASD information and now liaise via email and telephone although it is hoped that the group will liaise via our Virtual Networks in the near future
