Are you a practitioner involved with working with children or adults with ASD in the Aberdeenshire area?

The Aberdeenshire ASD Network Group provides an opportunity for practitioners to:

  • collaborate to share information, new ideas and practice in order to facilitate provision of up to date and appropriate support to children and adults with ASD

  • focus on specific examples of good practice relating to ASD and to share these both within the group and externally to enable and facilitate awareness and understanding of good practice in ASD

  • raise the profile of ASD within Aberdeenshire by knowledge exchange from the Network to peers within the statutory and voluntary sector in Aberdeenshire, as appropriate

  • share and consider new legislation and policies and appropriate methods of implementation of these in relation to ASD to enable more effective practice and application of new directives. For example: Aberdeenshire ASD Strategy and Supporting Learning in Aberdeenshire-Pathways to Policy pack.

  • keep abreast of and share details of new and innovative ideas and initiatives in order to enable informed practice and knowledge of those within the Network

  • provide access to relevant information, speakers and resources relating to ASD for the purposes of informing practice and understanding

  • link with other relevant networks and groups to share information, work together and liaise to enable effective partnerships and progression for ASD services and support across ages and services

  • enable communication with other practitioners in Aberdeenshire through the medium of Virtual Networks to assist with the aims of the Network and sharing of relevant information and support
